While the coldest part of winter has come and gone, for many parts of the world, spring is also rather chilly. Since it doesn’t cost you anything to properly look after your e-cig, we’ve listed some tricks below to help you to keep your device operating under freezing conditions. Here are the tips for vaping in colder weather.

Keep your device warm

Depending on where you live, temperatures in the winter and spring months can be chilly, which causes operational problems for all types of electronic devices. So, if the weather is still cool outside, we recommend keeping your e-cig warm to ensure that no problems arise such as the battery losing power, e-liquid freezing, or condensation forming around your unit. That said, the easiest way to warm your device is by keeping it in your coat pocket or inside your purse for seamless accessibility while also utilizing your body heat for those extremely cold days.

The same thing goes for backup cartomizers and capsules. While the e-liquid won’t freeze unless you leave it outside, if you’re experiencing extremely low temperatures, the cold can affect its consistency. Storing backup e-liquids somewhere warm ensure that your experience remains easy and enjoyable.

Moisture is bad for your device

Even the best e-cigs should be kept in a dry environment to ensure that no condensation can easily form. Why is moisture a problem, you ask? Getting water into the battery compartment and electrical connection may lead to malfunction and the need to replace your entire device. So, aside from keeping your device warm on cool days, be sure to store it away when not in use on rainy days as well.

Take extra care of the battery

While the best e-cigs on the market, such as Logic, come equipped with a powerful, high-quality battery, cold temperatures can greatly affect their power, making them less efficient. That said, it’s easy to keep your battery working properly when you know what to do. Charge your battery daily and ensure that it’s close to empty before placing it on charge. Also, be sure to not overcharge the battery.
