There’s long been controversy surrounding electronic cigarettes. Whether they’re just “too good to be true”, or they are too groundbreaking for the general public to understand, electronic vapes have faced an uphill battle since day one.
However, regardless of criticism or skepticism, The Wall Street Journal took a bold stance last week by supporting the benefits of electronic cigarettes. According to Are E-Cigarettes a Healthy Way to Quit Smoking?, researchers the U.K. Center for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies and the University of Geneva’s Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine, has concluded that e-cigarettes are a helpful way to lessen one’s tobacco intake. The article highlights key evidence from researchers and academics around the world, and even goes as far as to say that “available evidence also overwhelmingly supports the view that e-cigarettes are reasonably safe and—most important—far less risky than cigarettes.”
We couldn’t be happier to see the media taking a favorable view of our industry. We’ve known for years that vapes were a healthy alternative, and it’s about time the big news sources were willing to stand behind the facts and promote this cost-effective and healthy nicotine alternative.
