Man vaping at the airport

Just because the summer season has come and gone, doesn’t mean that you don’t have a getaway this fall to look forward to. So, if you’re someone who enjoys taking off to somewhere tropical for the cooler months of the year, before embarking on your journey, it may be worth it to take the time to brush up on the rules and regulations of vaping abroad. After all, one of the most important things you can do as a vaper, aside from planning the trip and packing your luggage, is to stay informed by checking the most recent national laws of the country you’re traveling to. While most popular vacation destinations are tolerable of e-cigs, some do have restrictions on where you can vape, how your device needs to be transported and whether or not e-liquids containing nicotine are permitted. So, if you’re hoping to fully enjoy the sights and sounds of your upcoming destination with your Logic vape pen in hand, it’s time you gained some insight to make traveling with your e-cig as breezy and carefree as the tropical weather.

Research airport and airline vaping policies

Once you’ve confirmed the legal status of vaping in the country you’re visiting, the next thing you should research is the airport and airline policies. While vaping is allowed in designated areas in the terminal at several airports around the world, sometimes there are federal regulations that may prevent you from transporting your device. Be sure to check the rules for any countries you’re visiting, including places where you will be stopped on a layover.

Checked luggage battery ban

Since January 2018, there has been a worldwide ban on transporting lithium-ion batteries inside checked luggage. As a result, airlines that allow e-cig devices onboard will require users to have them safely packed in their carry-on bags to prevent an accidental ignition within the cargo of the aircraft. This means that the only way you can bring your Logic vape pen with you on your travels is by storing the device safely in your carry-on suitcase and ensuring that all e-liquids are within bottles that are 100 ml or under to pass through airport security screenings.

Packed your e-juice bottles vertically

Whether you have an assortment of flavors tucked away in your carry-on luggage or sitting on the dresser of your hotel room, it’s important to vigilantly keep your bottles in a vertical position, either by placing straps around the bottles to hold their position or by using a special carrying case to keep them stored upright. After all, you wouldn’t want to open up your luggage to find that your favorite tobacco cartomizer has leaked or spilled onto your clothing or toiletries.

Know the rules about vaping in restaurants and public places

Just like it’s important to know the regulations at airports, we recommend also researching public vaping statutes and where city laws and ordinances will allow you to use your Logic vape pen. While some places allow both vaping and smoking in public establishments, others possess designated areas where it will be permitted.

Understand how to charge your device abroad

Many different plugs, voltages, frequencies, and sockets are used across the world, so when you’re preparing for an upcoming trip, remember to confirm what adapter you’ll need to convert energy safely to your e-cig device. It’s better to take the time to learn the voltage capabilities of your charger and device before departure than to find yourself on vacation without the ability to restore your battery levels.
